Starting in Inverness and heading around the very top of mainland Scotland, it will take you to some of the UK's wildest and most remarkable landscapes. You'll pass through John O'Groats and Dunnett Head, Applecross and Ullapool, Kylescu and Gairloch gathering stories and memories that will last a lifetime. The secret to doing the NC500 properly is to take your time, respect the locals and book ahead in busy periods. Some of the driving is done on single track roads so it's important to understand the rules of the road: slow down, don't hold up the locals, give way to timber lorries and be prepared to reverse into passing places to allow others to pass!
