In April 1746 Bonnie Prince Charlieās Jacobite rising was defeated here in this field, where coaches now gather in large numbers to relive the battle through the interpretation of a modern museum. Emotive.
Culloden - Clava Cairns
A mile or so to the south of Culloden youāll find the 4,000-year-old Clava Cairns, a complex of passage graves with ring cairns, kerb cairns and standing stones in a beautiful setting. Itās a lovely place and well worth a visit.
